connection

connect iphone to op1 via usb-c or bluetooth (ble midi)
open the app — automatically connects to op1
status bar shows op-1 field (usb) or op-1 field (ble)

tempo modes

op1 (beat match) — op1 is master. app's lfos follow op1's tempo.
app (midi sync) — app is master. app controls basic op1 tape transport (play/stop/back/forward).
- tempo lfo requires usb-c connection.
- note: bluetooth (ble midi) does not send high-resolution tempo changes.

toggle the app's tempo mode by tapping the metronome, then change the op1 to match.

help wanted — got another te device?

every device lfo hero supports was mapped by measuring real hardware, because the published midi references turned out to be wrong in several places. adding the op-1 (original), op-z, ep-133, ob-4 or a po means someone who owns one has to record what it actually sends.

it takes about ten minutes and you don't need to know anything about midi:

midi mapper — runs in the browser, walks you through it, produces a file to send. needs chrome, edge or firefox on a computer
manual instructions — for safari, or if you'd rather use a midi monitor you already trust
